Open the settings menu
How to make a laptop as a wifi hotspot on Windows 10 is quite easy and simple as activating a similar feature on a smartphone. Select the Start menu or press the Windows key to find the settings menu. You can also search for that menu by filling in the search field.
Open the settings menu and select the Network & Internet menu. From there, you will see a number of menus ranging from Status to Proxy. Select the Mobile Hotspot menu. Then turn on your laptop's mobile hotspot by pressing the available button.
Select wifi
From the same view, you will see an option to share the connection source. Two options available are wifi and bluetooth. Select the wifi option to share the internet connection and make the laptop a wifi hotspot.
Edit network name
To make it easier for you to find the wifi name of your laptop, edit the laptop network name in the Edit menu available on the mobile hotspot settings page. You should also change the desired password to make it easier for you to connect to the laptop hotspot network.
